Aflac Director Listed as Top Diversity Leader with $25M Black Economic Development Fund Investment

Keyla Cabret-Lewis, director of diversity, equity and inclusion at Aflac, is featured in Business Insider's third-annual list of notable diversity officers influencing change in their companies.


Cabret-Lewis spearheaded the $25 million investment in the Black Economic Development Fund, an impact investment fund by LISC Strategic Investments supporting Black-owned businesses and Black-led financial institutions.

The Black Economic Development Fund (BEDF) is an impact investment fund built specifically to address economic challenges in the black community and to help close the racial wealth gap. The fund targets Black-led financial institutions, Black-led businesses, and Black-led anchor institutions with the goal of growing these organizations and strengthening their contributions to the Black community.
